Jeff Douglas

Jeff is an ACMG Hiking Guide, Professional Interpretive Guide, CANSI Nordic Ski Instructor, Paddle Canada Canoe Instructor and both a member of the Canadian Avalanche Association and the Canadian Ski Guide Association. He is an avid trail runner and ski mountaineer based in Canmore, Alberta. Having worked as a guide in Alberta and British Columbia, he has turned his passions into his profession.

As the Past President of the Interpretive Guides Association, he is committed to continuing his learning journey and sharing his knowledge with visitors from around the world while also mentoring new guides.

Currently, Jeff's pursuits revolve around backcountry skiing, trail running and fastpacking, having recently completed every meter of trail throughout Banff National Park. Although winter might be his favourite season (long backcountry ski traverses are always in his calendar), he lives his motto "Life Is Better With A Backpack" over 250 days a year.
